Shooting at Dallas Airport Injured Officer



On June 10, 2016, at approximately 12:20 p.m. CDT, a shooting reported at Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas, may have injured an officer. Police officials have not confirmed any details to the public, as of yet. The local media is using photographs and videos of the crime scene, which have been posted to social media sites, such as Twitter and Instagram.

According to Fox 4, multiple shots were fired at Dallas Love Field Airport. The disturbance is believed to have originated near the baggage claim center, as a domestic dispute between an unidentified man and a woman. Thus far, video footage shows a police officer at the airport with his gun drawn and returning fire. Shooting from further away can be heard. An officer was injured during this shooting and is in “ok condition.”

shootingAs the emergency shutdown commenced throughout the airport, all traffic has ceased, security checkpoints are on freeze and flights are delayed. “The Dallas Morning News” stated, nine shots were heard on an Instagram video, recorded in the proximity of the baggage claim center. This causes growing concerns for police officials.

The Dallas Police Department will keep the public updated on the progression of events at Dallas Love Field Airport. The unidentified male suspect was sent to a local hospital. His condition is unknown. The woman involved in the domestic dispute is not injured.
