Neymar Leaves Catalan Football Club

Neymar Leaves Catalan Football Club

Professional soccer player Neymar da Santos Junior is ready to leave the Catalan Football club and play for Paris Saint-German. The new competing club, Paris Saint-German has offered to pay the $222 million buyout fee.

At first, the Catalan Club said he was “200%” going to remain a Barcelona player. A spokesman for the team stated, “Selling Neymar is not something the club would think about, we are very calm. He is one of the most important players we have; we will not consider any offers we receive for him.” Apparently, Neymar still decided his best chance at success was to leave and develop his game somewhere else.

The Brazilian soccer player’s representative, Wagner Riberio, said on Wednesday, “After Neymar gave me the green light on Aug. 1, I went to Paris and today I brought back PSG’s offer to pay the [buyout] clause, which will be done in the next hours.” Ribero gave the statement in a Barcelona airport entrance as the soccer player boarded the flight on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. Although, information about his destination has not been disclosed, he is still under Futbol Club Barcelona’s contract. They have given him temporary permission to no longer participate in their training sessions, so he can “sort his future.”

Before Neymar left for his flight, he said a short goodbye to all of his team members. Lionel Messi tweeted a heartfelt goodbye and good luck with a collage of pictures of them together.

Although the Brazilian soccer player has confirmed his departure from the Catalan Club, it can be assumed that he enjoyed his time spent working and playing with his teammates; based on the various images and tweets. He will most likely lead another soccer team into the spotlight, instead of staying in Barcelona and following the same game plan.

Along with his leave of the Catalan Club, Neymar is also developing himself and his career. Even though information about his destination and where he will be practicing is being withheld from the public, he is confident he will grow as a player.
