Boston Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas had outstanding game after he scored 53 points during the Tuesday night semifinals against the Washington Wizards on May 2, 2017.
The Boston Celtics return with another defeat against the Washington Wizards, in the Eastern Conference, which took the game into overtime. This ended the tie with the Celtics taking another win; 2-0
Thomas had his best postseason game ever, scoring 53 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals in 45 minutes. He scored 29 points during overtime, which led the Celtics to their victory.
In light of the death of Thomas’ sister and him being in the hospital for and injury, he played superbly. Today his sister would have been 23 years old.
Everyone called his performance outstanding based on the fact he had so many distractions. Many did not believe that Thomas was going to be able to come out and play.
The Wizards picked on Thomas for much of the game but the Celtics point guard emerged victorious, without letting anyone get in his way. He dominated the floor in the honor of his sister. Thomas surprised Russell Westbrook in having more points in a postseason game.
