Mixed Martial Artists (MMA) Bryan Linares and Xavier Rake take on Sin City when they head to head Friday, Oct. 28 at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas, Nev. Linares comes in with an amateur record of 2-0-0 (Win-Loss-Draw). The 21-year-old weighs in at 124 lbs. and is the 50th ranked of 289 active US West Amateur Flyweights.
Some might think Linares may have his hands full Friday coming up against Rake with his 2-2-0 MMA Record. The 23-year-old Rake is ranked 104th of 289 active US West Amateur Flyweights and weighs 120 lbs. at his last weigh in. Rake’s last fight was April 29, 2016, in Nevada, against Marcel Hampton. Since it has been awhile, reviewers think Rake might be ready to go toe to toe with his opponent.
Linares might have fought on July 29, 2016, in RMMA but he has not lost a match. Rake’s recent match was against Hampton. Linares at Real Mixed Martial Arts VII made his grand entrance into the sport in 2015 with a unanimous win over B.J. Tandura.
Since both Linares and Rake are still building their MMA resumes, according to some spectators, both come in as underdogs.
Who will walk away with the championship this Friday? One comes in with a current streak of two losses but more fights under their belt. The other with two wins but only two fights overall. Linares’ previous victory against Regis Spicer appears to have put him on the map. The question to ask: will it be enough to walk away with the MMA title? Neither needs to be underestimated, but only time will tell as MMA Linares and Rake take on Sin City.
