On September 11, 2016, around 4:35 a.m. EDT, a fatal car accident occurred. The car crash happened in the proximity of 120th Street and Linden Boulevard in South Ozone Park, Queens, New York, leaving one woman killed and several others injured.
In a statement made to Pix11, the New York Police Department said, “23-year-old victim, Desray Leroy, was pronounced dead at the scene and pulled out of an Audi A6 crashed into by 53-year-old Ray Mouton’s Honda Civic.”
Mouton arrested at the scene for driving without adequate proof of a driver’s license and was later charged with aggravated operation of a vehicle without a license. Officials believe that the 23-year-old victim was not wearing a seatbelt and was sitting on a fellow passenger’s lap at the time of the incident.
Certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) were dispatched to South Ozone Park Queens, New York, shortly to respond to reports of one killed and several others injured. Paramedics transported the 25-year-old unidentified male driving the Audi to Elmhurst Hospital. The five other victims in the Audi was taken to Jamaica Hospital.
Police officials report that the Audi A6 is built to safely transport only five of the six passengers that were in the vehicle at the time of the incident that killed one young woman and injured several others in South Ozone Park, Queens, New York. All of the passengers involved are in stable condition.
