Shooting at Mall in Monroeville Pennsylvania Leaves Two Wounded


ShootingAccording to CBS Pittsburgh, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, there was a shooting outside of a strip mall located off of Route 22 in Monroeville, Pa., where the two victims suffered from wounds that are not considered life-threatening. The shooting occurred outside of Miracle Ear, a salon, and The UPS Store around 2:30 p.m. EST.

The Allegheny County Police reported finding eight shell casings. They are not certain if this was a drive-by shooting or if the perpetrator(s) were on foot and fled in a vehicle. The police also stated they were in the process of searching for the shooter(s).

Officials at the scene stated there is no current motive to explain the shooting. The victims have not yet provided a description of the shooter. They were transported to a local hospital, where their wounds were treated. There is no further information at this time.

This is not the first time there was a shooting at this same plaza. On February 7, 2015, there was a report of a teenager was arrested after three people were shot in the same Monroeville, Pa. shopping plaza.
