Donald Trump did not wait long to come out guns blazing against Hillary Clinton on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, in New York City, during an MSNBC broadcast. However, he did lead with speech reaching out to Bernie Sanders’ supporters asking for their vote to break up the Capital’s corruption.
He claimed that “Clinton has virtually done nothing right on foreign policy.” It was a non-stop blitz against Clinton from start to finish. Trump continued to state things like she lacks the temperament and composure to be president. These were some of the lighter jabs that Trump was throwing Clinton’s way.
Trump’s relentless onslaught continued, “She should not under any circumstance be president.” The rise of ISIS, Trump said, was the fault of Clinton’s “bad decisions” that were made during her time as Secretary of State.
The “most terrifying thing” of Clinton’s foreign policy is her “refusal to acknowledge the threat of Islam. Clinton lacks the competence to be president, Trump continued.
“Clinton may be the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency.” Trump called her immigration policy the “most radical” in U.S. history. Clinton’s agenda, Trump said, “will keep immigrant communities poor.” Some of the harshest words against the former Secretary of State were “Clinton gets rich making you poor.”
Trump did briefly stray away from Clinton when momentarily focusing on his first one hundred days in office once elected as the U.S. President. “I’ll focus on jobs, energy, replacing Obamacare, immigration in first 100 days.” He said that under his presidency, “America will have the best infrastructure in the world. We can bring America back bigger, better and stronger than ever before.”
“We don’t want another Clinton or Obama. Hillary Clinton’s message is old and tired. Her message says that things can’t change.” Trump used change against the presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee, saying, “We have to have change, real change. Not Obama change.”
He did not stray too far away from his full-on attack before ending his speech, saying that Clinton’s “massive taxation, regulation, and open borders will destroy jobs.” Trump concluded with slowly spoken words with great confidence and was greeted with applause, saying: “We are going to make rich again. We are going to make America safe again. We are going to America great again.”
