Chelsea Clinton is officially a mother of two. On June 18, 2016, Hillary and Bill Clinton’s only daughter gave birth to a son. Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky was bestowed with the honor of her family name. She and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, also have a baby girl, who is almost two years old.
The 36-year-old daughter of the former U.S. president married Mezvinsky on July 31, 2010. Charlotte, the couple’s first child, was born four years later, in September 2014. In December 2015, the couple announced they were expecting a second child.
Their baby boy was born on June 18, 2016. The news was announced on social media. The couple confessed being “overwhelmed with gratitude and love,” in a tweet.
Hillary and Bill Clinton Are Enjoying Being Grandparents
The former U.S. president and his wife, the likely Democratic presidential nominee, are enjoying their status as grandparents. After their daughter’s announcement about the birth of her second child, the couple made a statement expressing their delight.
“We are all over the moon as Chelsea and Marc welcome Charlotte’s little brother to the world.” The proud grandparents also said they were grateful for their blessings. They added that their daughter and grandson were doing well.
The former secretary of state is a proud grandmother of two. During her campaign, she kept mentioning that she was enjoying the same things that her mother experienced as Chelsea’s grandmother. Clinton admitted that she helped her daughter with the first baby. She said she changed diapers and enjoyed singing to Charlotte.
Hillary Clinton’s Daughter Supported Her Mother During the Campaign
Throughout her pregnancy, Clinton’s only daughter was next to her mother every step of the way while Clinton campaigned in her quest to become the first female president of the U.S. The new mother of two says that she considers there to be no better leader for the country than her mother.
On June 6, 2016, the 36-year-old mother traveled through New Jersey asking people to vote her mother in the Democratic primary. She confirmed she felt particularly invested in the campaign by explaining that whoever was elected “will have a profound role in shaping the world and the values that my children, your children, your grandchildren will grow up in.”
Chelsea Clinton’s Short Resume
The new mother of two was born on Feb. 27, 1980, in Little Rock, Ark. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in History at Stanford University and two master’s degrees – one from Oxford and one from Columbia University. In 2014, she earned a master’s in International Relations from the University of Oxford.
Between 2011 and 2014, she worked as a special correspondent for NBC News. Currently, she is the vice chair of the Clinton Foundation.
On July 31, 2010, she married the investment banker, Mezvinsky, whom she began dating in 2005. Nowadays, the couple lives in a condominium in the Flatiron District of Manhattan with their two children.
