Brooklyn Playground Becomes a Shooting Site

The Harry Maze Playground located in Brooklyn, New York, on Avenue D and E, 56th Street in East Flatbush, became a crime scene. Multiple shootings took place on Monday afternoon, June 13, 2016, just before 5:00 p.m. EST, as reported by Pix11.

While the police officials have confirmed that five people were shot, the fire fighting department officials in Brooklyn stated, they transported six people to the Kings County Hospital.

However, in either case, the ages of the victims, along with the nature of injuries they sustained, as well as their most current medical conditions remain unavailable at this time.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Police Department, who is investigating the incident, has cordoned off the entire area, including the park that has been closed to the general public, for the time-being.

This investigation is ongoing. The Public Slate will provide updates to this situation, as they become available.
