Two Injured in Minnesota Foot Locker Store Shootings

On March 4, 2016, two people were shot outside a Foot Locker Shoe store in Twin Cities, Minnesota. According to CBS News, there were multiple shots fired while people were waiting outside the store. The male victims were transported to North Memorial Medical Center. Reports indicate their injuries were non-life threatening.

The crowd was waiting outside the Foot Locker to buy Nike’s newest Air Jordan retro shoe. “Air Jordan 2 Wing It” was released for purchase on March 2, 2016, in retail stores across America. According to Sports Illustrated, this white shoe is being marketed using a 1986-era commercial theme.

Whether the shootings occurred over the shoes or another matter has not been released. The Minneapolis Police Department are searching for one or more shooters.
