Nancy Reagan dies at age 94. CNN reported the passing of the former First Lady on March 6, 2016. Spokeswoman of the Ronald Reagan Library Joanne Drake announced today that Reagan died as a result of congestive heart failure.
CNN went on to report that she would be interred beside her husband, former President Ronald Wilson Reagan. Their final resting place is located at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
Time reported that condolences and fond remembrances have been pouring in through all social media formats. Mitt Romney expressed his sadness for the family through Twitter. He stated that with her passing, the nation finally says its final farewells to the Reagan presidency. Romney continued by pointing out the indelible impact that she and her husband had on American ideals and that they reminded us all that our nation is to be cherished.
Nancy Reagan dies at age 94, in the wake of Super Saturday’s caucuses. Both Ted Cruz and Donald Trump took time away from campaigning in order to pass on their admiration for the former First Lady. Each of the candidates offered thank yous for her service to our nation, as well as sentiments that her death would be felt by the entire nation.
