Bomb Threat at Philadelphia International Airport


A bomb threat was called into the Philadelphia International Airport Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. Authorities have reported that a male called 911 at 4:30 p.m. EST, stating there was a bomb in the Terminal A baggage claim.

The caller, a current suspect, demanded British Airways’ planes not be allowed to leave the airport. Investigators traced the call to a pay phone in the airport’s customer waiting area.

Police have not said if any devices have been found at this time.


According to CBSPhilly, the airport was cleared at 6:30 p.m. Police have arrested a 30-year-old man from Norway.

The man’s identity or the charges he could be facing have not been released at this time. Authorities have not released any other information.
