Community Alert Robberies Town Hall


About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens residing in District 019 of robberies that occurred in
October. In these incidents, the offenders approached the victims on the street or in a park and used force to steal cellphones. Times and locations are listed below:
•3200 block of N. Campbell on 02 Oct 15 at 10:15 pm.
•3400 block of N. Rockwell (park property) on 09 Oct 15 at 10:50 pm.

About the Offenders:
•In the incident on Campbell, 4 offenders approach on 10-speed bicycles, one of which was neon green in color. They were described as a male Hispanic, 17-19 years old, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The second offender was a male black, 18-21 years old. Offenders 3 and 4 were male whites, 17-20 years old, one with a red backpack, and one with a purple hooded sweatshirt.
•In the incident in the park on Rockwell, there were three offenders, one of whom was riding a silver road bike. They were described as a male Hispanic, 16-17 years old, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with a gray logo; a male black, 16-17 years old 5’11, 140 lbs, and an unknown male white, 17-20 years old.

What you can do:
•Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activity immediately.
•If you are confronted by an assailant, remain calm.
•Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, tattoos, missing teeth,etc) and vehicle descriptions such as make, model, color and license plate number.
•If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information.
•Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible. If a cell phone is taken, activate any tracking device as soon as possible.
