Chatsworth: The Los Angeles Police Department Robbery Homicide Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating an abducted 2 year old girl named Lamees Issa.

Lamees Issa had been removed from her parents’ custody after an investigation conducted by the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Lamees was placed with a foster family, however, Lamees’ parents were allowed monitored visitation at the DCFS offices located on the 20100 block of Nordhoff Street in Chatsworth.

On August 26, 2015, at about 2:00 p.m., Louai Issa, Lamees’ father, entered the DCFS offices for a pre-arranged supervised visit with his daughter. Upon the two hour time limit, Lamees accompanied the DCFS worker to the car. Once at the car, Louai pulled a handgun from his waistband and stated he was taking his daughter.

Issa then grabbed his daughter from the custody of the DCFS employee and entered the backseat of a waiting silver colored Honda CRV. The Honda CRV was being driven by a male Jordanian wearing a grey knit cap. The Honda CRV was last seen northbound Comanche from Nordhoff. As the Honda fled the location, a witness obtained a partial CA license plate No. of “W 122.”
