The Atlanta Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify several individuals who appear in the video below. The video footage is taken from surveillance footage from a convenience store located at 1167 Joseph E. Boone Blvd NW in Atlanta.
The video relates to a shooting which occurred at the convenience store on Apr. 3, 2015, at approximately 9:00 p.m. When Atlanta police, responding to a call of a person shot, arrived on the scene, they discovered a male inside of a vehicle who had been shot at least one time. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene of the shooting and began investigating the case. To date, no motive has been established and the investigation is ongoing.
The first scene of the video depicts an individual wearing a jersey with the number “88” written on the front who appears to be seated at gambling machines inside the store. He then gets up and leaves the store in the company of what looks to be a black female.
Upon exiting the store, several individuals appear to be standing around a Ford Focus which looks to be silver. Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the people both inside and surrounding the vehicle, as well as the black male wearing a black hat who approaches the vehicle. Atlanta police are also hoping to identify what appears to be the silver Ford Focus as well as any and all of the other vehicles parked in the lot of the convenience store.
Anyone who can help to identify the individuals or vehicles in the video is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477). In addition, tips can be submitted by texting “CSA” and the tip to CRIMES (274637). All information can be given anonymously. An award of up to $2000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
