Jeff Goldblum Told David Letterman He Will Be a Dad

Jurassic Park actor, Jeff Goldblum, told David Letterman on Friday that he will be a dad at the age of 62. His wife, Emilie Livingston, 32, informed Goldblum just the day before they got married in November at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles that she was pregnant, he revealed during the interview with Letterman.

Jeff Goldblum told the Late Show With David Letterman host that his wife was now “three months pregnant.” He added that they know the sex of the baby, saying “It’s a boy.” Currently, the happy couple is thinking of naming their son “Elliot Charlie.”

While most men are slowing down at the age of 62 and many are grandfathers, Jeff Goldblum seems to be as energetic as he ever has been, and excited about the news that he will become a dad in a few months from now.

Goldblum’s wife, wife, Emilie Livingston, is a former Olympic gymnast and a contortionist. The Fly actor said that she could still place her leg behind her head, even though she is three months pregnant. His wife came out onto the stage and proved that she can still accomplish the feat with the greatest of ease, without having warmed up beforehand.

After she demonstrated her flexibility to the studio audience and viewers across America, Goldblum said “Isn’t she beautiful?”

Though Jeff Goldblum and Canadian native Emilie Livingston have only been married for three months so far, they have been living together longer than three years. Goldblum proposed to her when they were on a vacation together this past July in Hawaii.

Jeff Goldblum proposed to his wife on July 8, 2014. Emilie Livingston tweeted that she “was taken over by tears of joy n ecstasy!” She also tweeted that they had picked out their wedding rings together.

Letterman did not seem to like the name Elliot very much, but Goldblum said that they were going to let their son decide if he wanted to be called Elliot or go by his middle name, Charlie.

“Charlie is kind of a family name,” Jeff Goldblum informed David Letterman. He added that he liked the name “Charlie better than Elliot.”

David Letterman said that he liked that name, also, He said “”You can’t go wrong with Charlie Goldblum.”

Though their baby will be the first one for Jeff Goldblum, Emilie Livingston is the actor’s third wife. He has previously been married to actresses Patricia Gaul and Geena Davis.

When the couple got married in front of their family and friends, they knew that Livingston was pregnant but they kept that a secret between themselves. Besides the joy of getting married, the knowledge that they were expecting their first child together was yet another reason why they had smiles on their faces.

Jeff Goldblum first got married in 1980, to actress Patricia Gaul. That marriage lasted six years, before the pair got divorced. He was married to his second wife, Geena Davis, for three years, until their divorce in 1990.

Maybe the third time will be the charm for Jeff Goldblum and his beautiful wife, Emilie. When Goldblum announced to David Letterman that his wife was pregnant, he was, of course, also letting the world in on the secret that he and his wife had been keeping. Congratulations to the happy couple!
