Sixth Grader Dies in Xenia Ohio School

Xenia, Ohio, is about 50 miles northeast of Cincinnati.

Authorities were called to Central Middle School by the superintendent; a sixth-grader had died.

Superintendent Denny Morrison refused any comment about the cause of the child’s death. However, police and medics revealed that they had responded to a report of an attempted hanging.

The school was placed on lockdown immediately. At 2 p.m. the students were dismissed. A normal school day session will resume on Wednesday.
