It began Sunday when police were called to a Motel 6 off of interstate 80 in Gary, Indiana. The body of a female was discovered who had presumably been strangled. The investigation led authorities to a home in Hammond. There they arrested a 43-year-old man. He confessed to a murder spree in the Gary, Indiana area.
The unidentified man led the authorities to three damaged or abandoned homes and three more bodies. At day’s end, the total rose to seven. All have been labeled as homicides.
The name of the confessed killer has not been released. Charges are being filed.
