Scott Brown, the former U.S Senator for Massachusetts has won the U.S. Senate Republican primary race in New Hampshire. Brown was up against nine other contenders and political analysts and pundits had him favored to win. Brown won a decisive victory garnering 49 percent of the vote.
In the November midterm election, Brown will run against the Democratic incumbent, Jeanne Shaheen. If Brown wins, the outcome of the race could be a factor in changing the balance of power in the Senate. If Brown is the victor in November, he will be the third U.S. senator who has served in more than one state.
